Since the launch of Pokemon Red & Blue back in 1996 for the Game Boy, Pokemon has become an incredible and massive franchise. Now with over 800 Pokemon and more to come soon with the release of the new mainline games Pokemon Sword and Shield. The franchise shows no sign it is going to stop growing!
With the release of these new games on the horizon I thought I should dive in to see where the ideas for this menagerie of Pocket Monsters come from. Most Pokemon are adorable, sure some of them look like absolute monsters, but overall they are pretty cute monsters. Turns out many of these resemble some fantastic creatures you might come across on your adventures, walking through the tall grass.
This first video will show my Top 10 Pokemon based off of real creatures from Generation 3 (Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald and Pokemon OmegaRuby & AlphaSapphire) and hopefully I'll introduce you to some amazing animals you didn't know about.
